Emerging From Darkness
Faith, Emotion and The Body in The Baroque
8 December 2023 – 14 April 2024
Hamilton Gallery
Emerging from Darkness: Faith, Emotion and the Body in the Baroque is the single most ambitious exhibition that Hamilton Gallery has delivered. It brings together a stimulating and diverse range of artworks which tell the story of the major artistic transformation that took place at the end of the 16th Century in Italy.
A world-class exhibition, it is exclusive to Hamilton Gallery, demonstrating the capacity of regional galleries to connect audiences to experiences previously only accessible through international travel. Visitors to Emerging from Darkness will leave the exhibition with a greater understanding and love of this pivotal moment in art history and will carry with them memories of renowned artworks produced by some of the greatest artists in history.
You can learn more about the exhibition at hamiltongallery.org or see below for our tips on what to see and to in the region when visiting the exhibition.
