Mirranatwa Gap Lookout

A somewhat hidden secret on the crest of the Serra Ranges, turn off Grampians Tourist Road onto Victoria Valley Road to find the Mirranatwa Gap Lookout (or sometimes called Grampians Valley Lookout).

Located just 20 minutes from Dunkeld, only a few kilometres off the beaten track, take one of two trails to enjoy some of the best views out over the Grampians (Gariwerd). Follow the shorter of the two trails up some stairs for views out over the tree tops of the surrounding landscape. For the more adventurous take the longer trail, through an almost untouched array of native wildflowers and bushland to the top of the Mount Burchell for one of the best lookouts in the Grampians (Gariwerd). Views of mountains stretch as far as the eye can see, with Mount Nelson to the north and across the Victoria Valley. This trail is about 2km return, taking roughly 1 hour to complete and is through bushland so may be steep and rocky or slippery after rain.
